Tiger Corporation Concluded an Agreement for Promoting Recycling of Used Stainless-steel Bottles
and Popularization of My Drinks Bottles
Tiger Corporation (President: Yoshisato Kikuchi, Headquarters: Kadoma City, Osaka), a world leader in thermal control technology, concluded the Agreement for Promoting Recycling of Used Stainless-steel Bottles and Popularization of My Drinks Bottles with Kadoma City (Osaka) today, January 17, 2023.
Considering recycling-oriented manufacturing as its duty to implement a sustainable society as a manufacturer of stainless-steel bottles, Tiger Corporation has been making a broad range of efforts to accept and recycle stainless-steel bottles.
In the background is the fact that Kadoma City (Osaka) was selected as one of the implementing local governments for the 2022 Local Blue Ocean Vision project, in which the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) will support a demonstration of self-propelled efforts to be made through cooperation between local governments and companies to increase the effectiveness of the measures for collecting and reducing marine litter. Tiger Corporation, as a partner company, promotes efforts that will lead to changes of public behavior through the popularization of my drinks bottles (one’s own drinks bottle) and collection of used stainless-steel bottles in the city.
At Tiger Corporation, we will continue to promote the circular economy action and contribute to the implementation of a sustainable society by working together with local governments and companies that advocate our efforts as well as encouraging as many people as possible to participate in the recycling of stainless-steel bottles.
Recycling model of used stainless-steel bottles (stainless-steel and resin materials)
The stainless-steel bottles no longer needed at home are collected at schools, companies, and city offices and gathered at a professional recycler. From the gathered raw materials to be recycled, recycled stainless-steel materials and resin products are produced. We are establishing a recycling model whereby the recycled stainless-steel materials are used to manufacture new products and delivered to customers again and the recycled resins are used in our production factories.
We aim to achieve a circular economy (recycling-oriented economy) that can reduce environmental load and achieve sustainable economic growth through the recycling of resources instead of consuming and disposing of goods.

*Note for collection: Plastic/aluminum bottles or pouches supplied with stainless-steel bottles are not accepted for collection. Bring the bottles with the lids to the collection sites after thoroughly cleaning and draining them.
*Not all the products using the recycled stainless-steel materials are stainless-steel bottles.

Tiger Corporation Concluded the Agreement for Promoting Recycling of Used Stainless-steel Bottles and Popularization of My Drinks Bottles with Kadoma City (Osaka)
Kadoma City (Osaka) (Mayor: Mr. Kazutaka Miyamoto) and Tiger Corporation concluded the Agreement for Promoting Recycling of Used Stainless-steel Bottles and Popularization of My Drinks Bottles, including the efforts to popularize my drinks bottles and collect and recycle used stainless-steel bottles, on January 17, 2023.
Considering the waste problem related to the rivers within the city as a challenge, Kadoma City applied for the 2022 Local Blue Ocean Vision project aimed at further promoting the implementation of nationwide measures against marine litter and organized by the MOE and was selected as one of the implementing local governments in June 2022. The three companies of Panasonic Holdings Corporation having its headquarters in Kadoma City like us, ReNet Japan Group engaged in recycling and reuse businesses, and Tiger Corporation and Kadoma City will work in cooperation with one another to reduce plastic waste.
We, Tiger Corporation, promote efforts that will lead to changes of public behavior through the popularization of my drinks bottles (one’s own drinks bottle) and collection of used stainless-steel bottles in the city.
What is the Local Blue Ocean Vision project?
The MOE invited applications by local governments for the implementation of the model project in order to make the measures for collecting and reducing marine litter, which are to be taken through cooperation between the local governments and companies, an effective and sustainable effort. The MOE will support the implementation of the measures against marine litter through cooperation between the local governments and companies in respect of developing project plans, establishing a cooperative system, and verifying the effects and issues. In June 2022, the MOE announced that it had selected Osaka Prefecture, Hiroshima Prefecture, Wakayama City, and Kadoma City as the implementing local governments for 2022.
