Tiger Corporation and Fukuoka Softbank Hawks collaborate to solve problems in sports spectatorship at stadiums! Days Watching Baseball with Tiger Bottles

Tiger Corporation (President and CEO: Yoshiaki Kikuchi, headquarters: Kadoma City, Osaka Prefecture), a world leader in thermal control technology, has collaborated with the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks to host “Baseball Watching Days with a Tiger Bottle – Think about the environment and bring your own bottle” at the three-game series to be held at Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka from July 26th (Fri) to 28th (Sun). The event encourages people to bring their own bottles while enjoying watching sports.

The challenges of watching sports include, for customers, the fact that drinks get lukewarm while watching the game, and for the organizers, the large amount of waste that is generated after the game.

In January 2022, we launched a vacuum insulated carbonated bottle that can hold carbonated drinks such as beer*, and received many comments such as, “I want to take it to the sports game because I can put my favorite drink in it,” and “I can enjoy carbonated drinks while it’s cold, so it’s perfect for watching sports.”

We paid attention to these customer comments and thought that Tiger Bottle could solve the challenges of watching sports and make watching sports more enjoyable and comfortable, so we teamed up with the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, who supported our sustainable action efforts, and have been working on an initiative to encourage people to bring their own bottles to baseball games since 2022. As a season-long initiative this year, we are running a campaign where you can bring your Tiger vacuum insulated carbonated bottle to participating stores in the concourse of Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka and enjoy all-you-can-drink soft drinks for 900 yen (tax included).

In addition, the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks original vacuum insulated carbonated bottle MKB-T048 will go on sale from July 26(Fri). For three days from July 26th (Friday) to 28th (Sunday), we are holding a “Tiger Bottle Baseball Watching Days” event, where we will be giving away a “Fusan Drawstring Bag” to everyone who purchases the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks original vacuum insulated carbonated water bottle MKB-T048. (3) Recycling used stainless-steel bottles

We have been installing collection boxes for used stainless-steel bottles as part of efforts toward achieving a circular economy for stainless-steel bottles.

Bring any used stainless-steel bottles that you no longer need from home (even those made by companies other than Tiger Corporation are accepted) and put them in the collection box installed at the Tiger Pop-up Booth. The collected stainless-steel bottles will be taken to a professional recycler. Then, from the gathered raw materials to be recycled, recycled stainless-steel materials and resin products will be produced.

*Plastic/aluminum bottles are not accepted for collection.
*Pouches supplied with stainless-steel bottles are not accepted for collection.
*Bring the bottles with the caps attached to the collection sites after thoroughly cleaning and draining them.
*Not all the products using the recycled stainless-steel materials are used for stainless-steel bottles.
