Tiger Corporation (President: Yoshisato Kikuchi, Headquarters: Kadoma City, Osaka), a world leader in thermal control technology, will launch the Electric Kettle “QUICK＆SAFE+” PCS-A080/A100 on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
With the ability to quickly boil small amounts of water at any time, the convenience of electric kettles has caused them to explode in popularity in Japan since the 2000s. We have sold over 8.5 million units*3 of our electric kettles since they were first launched in 2008. They are enjoyed by a wide range of customers, from families with small children to one-person households.
The new PCS-A model is the lightest*1 Tiger electric kettle yet, and its compact design makes it easy to place in kitchens and rooms where space is limited. In addition to its compact design, the kettle boasts quick boiling speeds and safety features, which are the key characteristics of our electric kettles. Equipped with a lock function*4, the product also conforms to the new safety standard*1 to prevent accidental spillage when the product is knocked over, providing peace of mind.
Other features include the Drip Logic structure, which allows you to pour accurately and prevents splashing, and the water level windows, which enable you to check the amount of water inside at a glance. Thanks to Tiger’s proprietary technology, steam is guided through the shortest possible path to the steam detection sensor on the handle. The sensor quickly detects steam and turns off the power as soon as the water boils to achieve quick boiling.
The kettle allows you to boil water at an impressively quick rate for busy mornings, sudden visitors, and breaks between hectic chores.

The kettle is designed for compact storage in any location, making it easy to use in the kitchen or room of someone living alone.
The PCS-A080 (0.8 L) weighs approximately 0.64 kg, while the PCS-A100 (1.0 L) weighs approximately 0.7 kg*2, making them the lightest*1 models in the history of Tiger electric kettles. Because of this, the kettles can be lifted, poured from, and carried effortlessly.

Steam is quickly detected at the handles, and the power is turned off before excess steam is generated. The product produces less steam, reducing the risk of steam burns.

After August 2024, electric kettles that comply with these standards* will not be able to be manufactured or imported unless they meet the criteria for water spillage when knocked over.
As electric kettles grow more popular, incidents involving small children sustaining burn injuries have become a problem. Issued in 2021, the Notification for Partial Amendment of Interpretation Regarding Ministerial Order to Provide Technical Standards for Electrical Appliances and Materials stipulates additional testing for water spillage when a product is knocked over. Electric kettles that comply with these standards* will not be able to be manufactured or imported after August 2024 unless they meet the criteria for water spillage when knocked over. * J60335-2-15 (2021)

The S Mark on electrical appliances certifies that product testing and factory quality control inspections have been conducted by a third-party certification organization.
