Steamless Electric Kettle “QUICK&SAFE+” PCV-A060/A080/A100/A120
To be released on September 1, 2024
Featuring a temperature control function, the PTV-A080/A120 will also be released on the same day.
Tiger Corporation (President: Yoshisato Kikuchi, Headquarters: Kadoma City, Osaka), a world leader in thermal control technology, will launch the Steamless Electric Kettle “QUICK&SAFE+” PCV-A060/A080/A100/A120 on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
As electric kettles grow more popular, incidents involving small children sustaining burn injuries have become a problem. Issued in 2021, the Notification for Partial Amendment of Interpretation Regarding Ministerial Order to Provide Technical Standards for Electrical Appliances and Materials stipulates additional testing for water spillage when a product is knocked over. Electric kettles that comply with these standards*1 will not be able to be manufactured or imported after August 2024 unless they meet the criteria for water spillage when knocked over. Since they were first launched in 2008, all of our electric kettles have been equipped with a lock function*2 to prevent hot water from spilling when the product is overturned, and our cumulative sales have exceeded 8.5 million units*3.
In addition to the lock function*2, the upcoming PCV-A model features a steamless structure*4, which leverages our proprietary technology to prevent steam from escaping from the kettle. This reduces the risk of burns. In addition, the kettle boils one cup (approximately 140 mL) of water in approximately 57 seconds*5, allowing you to boil water at an impressively quick rate for busy mornings, sudden visitors, and breaks between hectic chores.
The Steamless Electric Kettle (with Temperature Control Function) “QUICK&SAFE+” PTV-A080/A120, which enables users to adjust the temperature between six levels according to the type of beverage or purpose of use, will also be launched on the same day. Choose the perfect electric kettle to suit your lifestyle.
Tiger will continue to contribute to the realization of “joyous harmony” through its electric kettles by providing quick boiling times and comfort of use while ensuring basic safety features so that they can be used with peace of mind in any situation.

Main Feature Details
The water boils at a surprisingly fast rate! Tiger’s Kyosoku kettle
(1) Quick boiling—the kettle boils a cup’s worth of water in about 57 seconds!*
Thanks to Tiger’s proprietary technology, steam is guided through the shortest possible path to the steam detection sensor on the handle. The sensor quickly detects steam and turns off the power as soon as the water boils to achieve quick boiling.
The kettle allows you to boil water right away at an impressively quick rate for busy mornings, sudden visitors, and breaks between hectic chores.
