Tiger Corporation (President: Yoshisato Kikuchi, Head Office: Kadoma, Osaka), a world leader in thermal control technology, has won the silver prize of “2024-2025 Kaden Awards ” jointly held by “GetNavi”, a magazine on products and trends published by One Publishing Co. Ltd. and Kaden Watch, an information website site for home appliances and living of Impress Corporation.
The “Home Appliance Awards” is an award program featuring the “best of the best” home appliances of the year, decided by public voting. 200 products were nominated, a record high, for the 10th edition, which started in 2015, and Ceramic Inner Pot Pressure IH Rice Cooker “炊きたて” 土鍋ご泡火炊き JRX-G100 won the “Gold Award” in the rice cooker category. This is the second consecutive year that Tiger’s flagship model has been selected for the Gold Award in the rice cooker category, following last year.
土鍋ご泡火炊き JRX series was created as a masterpiece to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Tiger Corporation. For as many as 100 years since its founding, Tiger Corporation has been working on studies on temperature, which is the most critical parameter for cooking rice, based on its thermal control technology. What we acquired through the course of history is these ご泡火炊き series. To cook rice to serve at many of the first-class Japanese-style luxury restaurants, clay pots are used. A rice cooker of this series produces bubbling and high heat like those produced in cooking rice in a clay pot to bring out deep, sweet flavors and increase the springiness of the rice. The rice cooker can cook the ideal rice that Tiger Corporation has been aiming for in its 100-year history.

The upcoming 土鍋ご泡火炊き JRX-G100/G060 models feature an upgraded version of the authentic ceramic inner pot, a component that serves as the cornerstone for this type of rice cooker.
For the first time in Tiger’s history, the bottom of the ceramic inner pot has been infused with volcanic ash, which boasts excellent thermal retention properties. Combined with the 300°C double-layer IH structure*1, the resulting high heat produces a synergistic effect. Moreover, the glaze applied to the authentic ceramic inner pot has been modified to enhance the far-infrared effect

The far-infrared glaze and IH heating element infused with volcanic ash further enhance the potential of the 300°C double-layer IH structure*1.
The inner pot of the authentic donabe is made of Yokkaichi Banko ware, a traditional craft of Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, known as the home of pottery. A carefully selected special clay is used to make the inner pot. The pot is baked at a high temperature of about 1,250°C and then subjected to three cycles of further baking at varying temperatures, finally reaching completion after three months of hard work. By repeating the drying and firing process three times, the clay pots become sturdier. Greater precision is achieved for thickness and size dimensions, and the resulting pot is more robust.

For the 土鍋ご泡火炊き JRX-G100, a newly developed glaze containing iron, cobalt, and other components is used to further enhance the far-infrared effect, which is one of the key features of donabe, enabling the rice to be cooked to a fluffier texture. Furthermore, in a first for Tiger, “Shirasu Balloons,” which are made from volcanic ash mined from Shirasu-Daichi, were infused into the heating element on the bottom of the pot using a special mixing technique. The addition of materials that have high heat retention properties and are highly compatible with the heating element maximizes the effect of the 300°C double-layer IH structure*1, which has achieved the highest temperatures in Tiger’s history. As a result, the rice is heated effectively, bringing out the sweetness and firmness of the rice. Compared to the previous model, sweetness and springiness have increased to 108.5%*2 and 105%*3, respectively.
Achieving extraordinarily high heat with the 300°C double-layer IH structure*1
The 300°C double-layer IH structure*1 features two layers of IH coils on the bottom of the inner pot. The first heating coil layer covers the bottom of the inner pot, transmitting heat seamlessly throughout the entire pot. The two-layer structure reproduces high heat and a heat temperature difference as if the ceramic inner pot was heated over an open fire. Utilizing the gradual heat-transmission properties of the ceramic inner pot, the product cooks rice with powerful yet gentle heat convection, taking advantage of the difference in temperature between the upper and lower sections of the pot to maximize the sweetness of the rice.
To bring out the flavors of the rice, the rice cooker slowly heats the rice down to the core of each grain using the far-infrared effect of the inner pot, which is about four times*4 that of a metal pot, a level that can only be achieved with a ceramic inner pot.

Tiger’s unique “Immersion Hybrid brewing” method, which combines the “Permeation” method, in which hot water is passed through the coffee powder, and the “Immersion Hybrid brewing” method, in which hot water is immersed in the coffee powder to extract the bitterness, acidity, and aroma brought out by the “DRIP” method, and the “HOLD” method, in which the coffee is immersed in the water, The HOLD (soaking) method brings out the sweetness, richness, and deliciousness of the beans.
