AN EASY DESSERT RECIPE
The best desserts end a meal with a bang. And cheesecake is one of those iconic desserts that elicit oohs and aahs of appreciation around the table, no matter how many times you’ve had it before. There’s just something decadent and sensuous about a velvety smooth bite of the perfect cheesecake. But we’d also argue that the best dessert recipes are easy enough you’ll be happy to make them on a regular basis. Good news! Not only is this carrot cheesecake recipe super easy to whip up, it’ll end any meal with an epic bang.
WHY CARROT CHEESECAKE?
The carrot in this cheesecake recipe is largely there for looks (and a tiny bit of flavor). It adds a soft orange hue and a slight amount of earthy sweetness to the finished dessert. Think of it like the carrots used in a carrot cake: which tastes much more like the cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg used to make that particular spice cake than actual carrots. Well, it’s the same in this carrot cheesecake recipe. The carrot adds color, moisture and depth – but at the end of the day, the flavor is 100% cheesecake!
HOW TO MAKE CARROT CHEESECAKE
When it comes to making cheesecake, ingredient temperatures matter. Make sure your cream cheese is at (or close to) room temperature before starting. Likewise, zap your carrot in the microwave (covered) for 3m 20sec on high so it’s a bit tender. Then simply load all your cheesecake ingredients into your Tiger blender – and blend for 90 seconds on the 10 speed setting. Cake batter done! All that’s left is to bake it, cool it and refrigerate it.
Final step: enjoy the best carrot cheesecake with a cup of coffee!
