WHAT IS RATATOUILLE?

Ratatouille is a traditional French stew made with a tomato base and commonly includes garlic, onions, zucchini, and eggplant.

Originating from Provence in southeastern France, this classic dish gets its name from a loosely translated French term meaning “to stir up.”

While ratatouille is typically vegetarian, we’ve added chicken to enhance its savory flavor and provide a satisfying protein boost.

However, if you’re preparing this for Meatless Monday—or simply prefer a vegetarian option—you can easily leave out the chicken without sacrificing flavor!

Additionally, black olives have been incorporated into this Mediterranean one-pot meal, bringing bursts of bold, savory goodness to every bite.
