This flavor-packed brown rice soup gets an extra boost from hearty vegan sausage and nutrient-rich cabbage!

Ingredients

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3/4 cup brown rice
  • 2 cup green cabbage, finely chopped or shredded
  • 2-3 vegan sausages such as Beyond Meat Spicy Sausage, chopped into bite size pieces
  • 6 cups vegetable broth or water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Grated parmesan cheese, as a topping (optional)

Directions

  • Place all the ingredients in the multi-cooker inner pot, stir, and close the lid.
  • Select the Programmed Menu No.04 function. Press [START] key.
  • Serve the soup in bowls and top with shredded parmesan cheese.

HOW TO MAKE VEGAN SOUP IN A RICE COOKER

To begin, all soup ingredients should be placed into the inner pot of the Tiger multi-cooker.

Once everything is mixed, the lid is closed, and Programmed Menu #4 is selected. After pressing the Start button, the rest is taken care of automatically—so feel free to sit back and relax!

When the timer sounds, the soup is ready to be served. A ladleful of warm, hearty goodness awaits!

For extra richness, grated Parmesan cheese can be sprinkled on top—but those following a strict plant-based diet may opt to leave it out.
